Introductions: State Council of Educational Research and Training was established in 1979 by merging State Institute of Education and State Institute of Science Education for undertaking multifarious and innovative activities to bring about qualitative improvement in the field of school education. The Council is located near the District Court in front of Panchayat Bhawan on Sohna Road Gurgaon. While coming from Delhi via Jaipur Highway t Rajeev Chowk it is only half kilometers when approaching towards the city side.
In this council besides Director there are four posts of Deputy Directors, eleven Senior Specialists, fourteen Junior Specialists, thirty Five lecturers and six masters/mistresses. The council is working on the development of curriculum, text-books, teaching methodologies, organization of pre-service and in-service training programmes, school surveys, researches, evaluation, co-curricular activities etc.
